I'm in that middle age but still think I am twenty-eight awkward stage. Divorced and still happy about it and grandmother of one. Have run the gamut of ob/gyn experiences from unplanned pregnancy to pelvic problems to hysterectomy. I've been misdiagnosed, underdiagnosed, dismissed, scoffed at and been told that I am a pistol by more than one doctor. But mostly what I am is an advocate for myself and unafraid to question what my intuition tells me is wrong. My advice to my friends when it comes to visiting their physician is to make sure the they are being listened to. And have a sense a humor. Laughter keeps the blues away.

Alaina49 Chronic Pelvic Pain 0 Jan 13 2008, 12:21 AM EST by Alaina49

I have been a chronic pelvic pain patient for over two years with an end finally within sight. I have been there and done that when it comes to chronic pain, treatments, doctors, hospitals, bosses, family and friends and just plain idiots. If anyone feels the need to vent or just talk, I'm more than happy to listen.
